Since assembling my new judging standards book, I have been reading it page by page. I am impressed by the level of knowledge and the great photos which help to clarify some of the text. It is fascinating reading, and not just for the purest who is restoring a fine point car. The many changes made to the car in 28 are just amazing, and I already see errors in our early 28 RPU. I have been restoring model As since 1960, but still am learning a great deal from this book. Thanks to those who contributed to the information assembled in this book.

It is very evident the dedication shown by those responsible with a document that can help us all understand how the Model A appeared when it came out of the assembly line. We all owe these folks a great degree of gratitude for this document. We are very lucky people like them share there knowledge and information. Thanks to all!

Let's try and call the book by it's newer name, restoration guidelines. The name was changed because people were thinking the primary purpose was for cars being judged, and as 2manycars states "It is fascinating reading, and not just for the purest who is restoring a fine point car.".

I try to strive to get as close as I can to the factory so when I need a replacement part the JS (should say RS now I guess :P) states exactly what should have came on my truck so I try to find that. It is an interesting read and really opens your eyes to go "wow i didnt know there were that many variations of those". Now I just need to order my full copy to replace my outdated version :P EDIT: just ordered complete guide :P

I never restored a model A to fine point judging. My customers did not want that, or the associated expense.
