Default 36 distributor question?

Will a late 36 distributor, flatcoil, 3 bolt interchange with a earlier 36, dome shaped coil, distributor. I know the later has a different rotor, caps, and different point set up. the engine is basically stock.

Yes, The complete assemblies are interchangeable.
