What is the straight skinny on Bill Stipe and the shocks he was manufacturing. I believe he retired but wasn't his son going to keep making them? I would like to buy a set.....if they are available.

I called the other day to speak with Bill about one of his camshafts and I was told he is retired. However, the business is still open and making his products.

Now why didn't I think about just CALLING him?? This durn internet stuff has taught me to be stupid! Well, I did call and I bought a set just today....freshly minted. Not cheap but I have bought parts from Bill over the years and he does TOP NOTCH work. Better than OEM, usually.........

If nothing else they're nice to look at. I was hesitant to even paint them.

Bill's sons have taken over the business. I spoke with Bill a couple of weeks ago and he is helping them set up for making the various model A items he had made in the past. So it appears all of the parts, including the shocks, will continue to be available. I hope to get an interview with the sons and do an article in a future issue.
