Correct Color for the Unity Series 2 Fog Light hardware

I'm restoring a set of Unity, Series 2 Fog Lights for my 34 Ford Cabriolet. I've cleaned up the metal parts that secure them to the bumper brackets which are painted a low gloss black. What color should I paint them? In the past I have copied the body color, but it never looked quite right, sitting as they do on the black bumper brackets. Any suggestions as to how came originally, or what looks best now?
