Default McCulloch Supercharger

I have one that I want to rebuild. I understand that there were two articles in Street Rodder magazine about restoring one and then installing one in consecutive issues of the magazine in the Tech section. Can anyone tell me what issues they were?
Thanks,

Send a pm to a member here known as Dave/Green Bay. He is also rebuilding a McCulloch Supercharger and can most likely help you with the information you need.

I think the McCulloch they are rebuilding in the article is the 39. We're working on the earlier one the 37. There are differences.
Make sure you check your end float on the vertical worm gear shaft as that will need to be duplicated when you put it back together. We ended up making a metal shim to get the clearance we were after.

Check the post below to see pictures of the disassembled unit

Here's mine. Sure gets a lot of attention. I'm seeing more and more people running these again these days. Wish a shop would take on the work. wink wink...
