Default Front brake opearting arm

The front brake operating arm should be 15 degrees forward. I am getting between 30 and 15 degrees forward free play with the brake rod disconnected - is this normal?

I think 30 degrees so too much. Maybe the internal rod inside the kingpin is to long. Did you use a "pill" in the operating wedge. 15 to 20 degrees is about all than it should be in my opinion. You suppose you could grind off a little of the operating pin, but you shouldn't need to.

The amount you can move the lever forward doesn't count. You lightly pull back and measure, and hope it's about 15 degrees.
