Default Trip to Maryland and Pennsylvania

Well, I found myself in the Maryland/Pennsylvania area last week. Two Model A related things to talk about:

1. Saturday morning I found that I would have some extra time so I planned a trip to Bratton's. I had never been there before though I had ordered from them several times during the years. My thought was that I would have a morning looking through old Model A parts, similar to my experiences at Bert's in Denver. Well, I was surprised. Not only were they not open but they basically have a new location that seems to be set up for mail order business. Yup, I'll still order from them but I had hoped to enjoy the smell or grease and rust. Dang.

2. On Sunday my wife and I visited Gettysburg, PA. What a wonderful place to host the 2017 MARC National meet. The winding, gently slopped roads will be perfect for our Model A's. The town itself will hosts numerous places where the architecture calls for a Model A photo. Even though this was my third trip to the battlefield, I learn more with each trip. Yup, MARC picked a great place.

Also, many times when out West, I think that in the East folks live shoulder to shoulder. Then I visit places like Maryland and Pennsylvania and am reminded that there is beauty in every section of this wonderful country.

Great reduce of your travels. Two of my clients are in Maryland and Pennsylvania and I love to visit them. One of my clients took me out to dinner in Allentown and introduced me to the chef as the old car guy. When I left the next day I had bought the chef's 52 Pontiac . Enjoyed your story, keep em comming. Wayne

Thanks for the compliments. Now, you need to visit the AACA Museum and that little swap meet called Hershey.

Dean,

Glad you enjoyed yourself. The Early V8 club had a car show on Sunday near Columbia, MD. There were three Model As there. Gettyburg is great. If you got the CD or downloaded the tour, it is a great addition to your visit to the battlefield

Dean,

Sure wish I known you were going to be in MD. I live about 10 miles from Bratton's and we would have enjoyed having the two of you out to the house for a visit. Keep this in mind in mind if you head out this way again.

Dean,
For many years, Brattons has been a Monday through Friday operation. Like Hunter, I am also close to Brattons and wish I had known you were coming this way as we may have been able to do something with you on your visit. If you are coming to the MARC meet at Gettysburg in 2017, maybe you can visit Brattons during that week.
Regards,
Dave
