Default speedometer drive gear

i have two BB frames. the driver stripped the teeth on the gear. the spare frame broke the cable but gears are good. so very new to this vehicle and don't want to take out the good gear so what is the problem here.the good gear was packed in hardened grease. the stripped gear was just oily. looks like john deere corn head grease is the answer and i have lots of that for my deere crawler so problem solved
