Looking on CL Ifound this really different truck . 1941 dual rear axel . never saw anything like it . I don,t know how to post it . Its in Kennsington ,NH. The title of the post is "1941 Ford ten wheeler " . the ID IS 5185004036 . It has a factory installed BAUMIS rear end ,.just looking at it,,, the cool facter is off the charts

Not seeing it under that number or name but I have seen photos of similar trucks from the Ford Archives.

I don't see a fifth wheel plate on the frame. Maybe this truck had a box van or dump bed on it at one time. It is a pretty nice truck. This is the first 10 wheel truck I have seen.
The other interesting thing is the fenders and head lights look like those on 1939 trucks. |

Yea Seth mine too . It looks like an animal,,, If I had the money I would have it in my backyard . It would be kinda hard to hide it from the wife though,,,,,,"What do ya mean ,,,Ive had that for a long time"

It would be nice to see a 10 wheeler truck like this set up as a semi tractor with a period correct trailer. It would be pretty useless but really neat!

I now own this truck 1941 ford baumis log hauler used to be littleton nh's fire engine from 41 to 58 I put in all new brake lines and am wiring it

Should say Baumis warford somewhere on the tandem setup. Does it have the splitter box? Sort of like a transfer case making it a twin screw.

There was a 42-47 truck like that around here a number of years ago but it had a tag axle and a walking beam sorta deal that had a roller chain and a sproket on the frame. Dash had a ID tag that said Truckstell conversion. I did have a 1955 that was a full screw tandem 5 and 4 with a lincoln engine. That 41 ford is a very cool truck. |
