Default Shock arm/tire interference

I have newly rebuilt shocks and am trying to install them on the rear of my '38. I have 8.25x15 tires and the shock arm is going to hit the fat part of the tire with suspension travel. I have 3" links and don't see any 2" offered. I think I need about 3/4" more clearance and have about 1 1/2" between the link and the frame. Replacing the tires with thinner ones is not in the cards right now. Suggestions solicited and appreciated.
