I'm wanting to put hydraulic brakes on my '38 tudor standard, thinking about discs on the front. Can I put later backing plates, say '42 to '48, on the back without changing out the rear end, and will I have to change the pedal assembly? Thanks for any help.

38s can have very good brakes in the std form ,if set up correctly ,They have a floater type brake ,if you are dead set on changing to juice you can rig a leaver system of the pedal and yes the backing plates will fit .Ted
