Default Cut out wiring

so let me get this straight on a 6 Volt Gen , the cut out the front of the cut out facing the fan that wire gos to the amp meter? at the back of the cut out 1 wire goes to ground and the other gos to cut out? tell me if thats correct please' thanks BIG MIKE

the cutout can possibly be bolted down in either direction, but there should be letters on the top--- "A", or ARM goes to the generator, "B" or BAT goes to the battery, if there are2wires coming out of the generator the field wire is grounded, the wire that goes to the brush is "arm"
