Default Possibly one for Bubba.. Lincoln V12 firing.

In the post I made on the Churchill timing jig, I noticed the lincoln timing points are in two lots of 6, but not equally spaced.

Here's the pic:



I'm no Lincoln expert and am thinking why are the firings not equally spaced and then I realised the V12 block is a 90 degree design. Without knowing exactly why, I'm pretty sure that's why. I do know a 60 degree V12 would have even firing just like a 90 degree V8 has even firing.

Basically I'm just saying I learned something new.. That the Lincoln V12 is not an even fire engine.

I never heard that mentioned before. That said, the Lincolns don't tend to get much air time here, so maybe it isn't surprising.
