Is it true that the Model A four door sedan is in demand? I was told to stay away from (Most) 4 door vehicles. I was thinking about adding another A to the collection.

Fordor Model A's have class and comfort. Go for it, as long as it doesn't need a wood kit.

I bought one, and If I had known a bit more about them, I never would have picked that model. The body is a complicated structure of wood, with the sheet metal skin mostly nailed on. As long as the wood is in good shape, no problem, but expensive and involved to replace. Other Model A body types, like the Tudor, have much less wood, and more metal in their body construction.

As others have said, maybe a 31 slant is a better bet, but I like the looks of the car with the visor. |

I personally love fordors. They're very comfortable cars that have lots of room compared to other body styles. As mentioned before, I also believe that they have a much more elegant look to them.

I love my Briggs Town Sedan. My wood was all perfect, and original. The 4 door sedans are exceptionally comfortable, even for the rear seat passengers.
I am having my LeBaron Bonney interior installed right now, and I will update my pictures very soon. Good luck on your search

My understanding is as follows.
The 1931 Slant Windshield (S/W) Fordor models 160A, 160B (Town Sedan), and 160C (Blindback), do not use structural wood like the previous years' Fordors. They do however, have a wood windshield header and wood-ribbed roof, just as the touted all-steel Tudors. I wanted a Fordor, but didn't want the risk of bad/rotten/missing structural wood, so I got a 160B. |

Concur with all stated; on my second S/W tn sed. best riding of all A's owned, though other 2 door models have less doors and windows to rattle, if that's an issue. But most rattles can be fixed along with proper body shimming, etc.

Is the wood kit only for the roof, or is there a lot of wood in the body too?
