In my opinion, it will be a rare buyer who takes this car at the asking price because the cost of a restoration will significantly exceed its worth.

Bob, playing Devil's advocate with you, just how many Ford-produced production models do you know of where the cost of restoration does not exceed the cost of its worth?

This vehicle IMHO will likely fetch close to the asking price, ...but just not to a restorer. It would be interesting to see if the flathead engine with it is a true 'straight petcock' block. That could enhance the sale significantly!

I also think it will get close to the money. 32 Sport Coupes are extremely rare, straight down drains block enhances it

A few days ago I came across an advert for 1932 Ford chassis RHD for US$29,000 that someone had taken the cabriolet body off. Was all complete with guards and everything. Looked nice.
Would be a good match, maybe it has sold as I haven't been able to find it again.

Maybe his strategy is mark it up 10K and let the buyer haggle. But what do I know , I am a Model A person and this isn't. Maybe the people on the correct site will have better opinions. Wayne
