Default 28 CCPU door lower rubber

I have a roll of repo bottom door weatherstrip seal which looks like it needs a flange to attach to.

As my doors have had rust patches welded in and out before I got it I do not know how to attach it.

I am guessing there is a tacked on weatherstrip flange ?

Does anyone have pics or info on this seal attachment , and maybe if there was any rubber seal between door outer edges and outer body ?

The 82-A closed cab didn't have a rubber seal at the bottom of the door. There was windlacing used across the bottom. The tail of the windlacing was under the door upholstery panel. The panel and windlacing were attached with the same ring shank nails.

There was windlacing (small diameter cord) used on the door front edge.

Door bottom and front edge windlacing is shown in the attached.

The lock pillar and header above the door had windlacing.

Thanks guys.

I bought this seal from Berts, I guess it is supposed to tuck under the lower edge of door trim .

I guess it is not original to body although the blurb says it is for pickups.?

Pooch,
That is like the seal model A suppliers sell for coupes and tudors. Like Dan and Neil wrote and the pictures they posted show, windlace was used on the bottom of pickup and AA truck doors.

This is what Bert's catalog says. "Door Bottom Seal-Fits on the bottom of the door, under the upholstery panal, and seals against the sills. Enough for two doors. Used on all tudor sedans, all coupes, all pickups, all 1928-1930 4 door sedans, cabriolets."
