For those interested in fine point and having the correct original parts, I have made this comparison on Speedometer cables. Please enjoy for your reference. keep in mind this is for stewart warner cables, northeast and waltham info to follow.

That is why if nothing else is savable on them I always keep the ends. Rod

These posts are always interesting to me. It is also gratifying to go out to the car and discovering the original 87 year old part is still on the car and doing it's job.
