Hi guys I am changing the spark plug wires on my 41 coupe and I see that they are color coded. I haven't dealt with this type of set up before I am used to the 50 flathead. What are the correct color order for right and left heads? Also I ordered from the brillman group and I have 7 correct wires and one yellow very short wire that fits no where?? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

The color coding is shown on wiring diagrams. The color coding is the same for both banks of the engine, starting at the front, Black/Red, Black/Blue, Black/Green & Black/Yellow. So:
1 & 5 Black/Red 2 & 6 Black/Blue 3 & 7 Black/Green 4 & 8 Black/Yellow Last edited by JSeery; 12-26-2015 at 09:29 PM. |

Yellow goes from coil to distributor.
