Default Coil + - question

I have converted to 12 Volt. Looking at the wiring diagram it show the red & black wires go to the coil. Car is now neg ground. Where does the red go + or - and the black wire goes on the other side. Internal resistor coil installed. Thank you for any help.

Don't know how much different your A is from stock other than the voltage and ground. Pick a wire and the follow it through the harness to the the end. If it stops at the battery it should be the + side of the battery and the + side of the coil. The other wire should go through the ignition to ground, in your case since you have changed it, the - side of the coil.

You'll also have to switch the wires on the rear of the ammeter.
