Default Safety Wire Fly Wheel Housing

What is the proper route or direction of the wire to go around the four bolts . The holes in the bolts are not always in the right place. I have the safety wire pliers. Thanks John

You do it in the direction that will tighten the bolt.

All that you have to remember is that the wire always should pull the fastener in a tightening direction.

My 4 bolts had a single wire run through each of the 4 bolts and the two ends twisted together. Some people have run two wires and run each through only 2 bolts. I believe the original way was how mine was done with one wire through the 4 bolts.

Help a newbie out here please. So if the bolts retaining the flywheel (to whatever) are not secured with wire they will come loose or even off? I'm asking because I don't know.

Those bolts shouldn't come loose without the lacing wire, its just an extra measure that Henry thought was necessary for conditions of the day.

It probably doesn't make much difference how these bolts are laced, they really don't need to done to aviation standards. Its just if you're going to do it, might as well do it right.
