I had a problem, purchased a NOS 38 Ford front fender. When it arrived it had stress cracks and no where near NOS. When I called about it I was told if I didn't like it to ship it back! The shipping both ways almost as much as the fender, so I just kept it. But he knew it wasn't as advertised! Crook in my opinion.

Everyone can carry their own opinion of people. Me personally I really like Bob, and I am certain there are many other who feel the same. When I was 18 and needed parts for my first old car (1935 Ford). I was a complete stranger kid to Bob. He helped me look up and find the parts I needed when I was clueless. Over the years I have bought many needed parts from him that could not be found elsewhere. He has seemingly had hard to find parts, and he does know their value if I can't afford something I simply don't buy it.

I don't think he knows prices at all!!! Maybe 3x the highest retail price!! Everything I asked him about was just that 3x the going rate. None of the parts were rare or hard to find. The worst is the smart ass arrogant answers you get. When he told me I can't afford it. I was like why because I don't have grey hair and I'm not in my retirement years?? He doesn't know me or have a clue of what I can and can't afford. He is a fist class shit head and I hate it for the hobby to have a guy like that snub younger guys trying to buy parts to restore there cars.

Once again read mine question. John and Verytangle you should get some to read threads to you before you start answering questions. Hate to see you look stupid on FB. I did not say I like Bob or if even knew Bob. Before last night I did not even know Dennis sold used or nos parts.

I have friend that lives in VA. This friend does not do computers. He wanted me to find this guy name that screw him on horn rod about 5 years ago. He call Bob up wanting horn for 1937 Ford. Bob said he had nos horn rod for $200.00. When he got the horn rod it was not nos it was junk. The rod was bent and ear had been broken off and been repair. My friend call Bob told he wanting his money back. Bob told him to go hell

This friend told me another story about Bob. How he took advantage of this widow women and here son. Here husband restored early Ford had builds full of nos parts. Bob talk her out of sell at auction and sell everything to him. Bob did give her close to want parts was worth. Bob was suppose take everything but left the junk parts for women to haul off.

Like I said at the begin I don't know Bob and plan not knowing him. He reminds of someone else that use be on FB. That got kick off do same type business. Thanks for all that reply

One more thing I will not give my support to anyone take advantage of people. It does not matter how old they are or want club they are member of. People or company that screw people screws the hobby.

Bob Jones and I have known each other for well over a decade. He has always been fair to me and has taken hours looking up information about parts numbers and the like for me at various times. Bob recently got married and at this time or soon he will be out for a couple of months for medical reasons.

Bob has handled the NOS V-8 Ford parts for Dennis Carpenter far longer than I have known him. On the NOS sheetmetal there is a computer list with the prices set by someone higher up the pecking order than Bob and those prices are sometimes high, but sometimes a real bargain. Bob did not price the NOS sheetmetal, someone else did and some of the identifications that individual made are incorrect. There is also a fairly extensive collection of used sheetmetal, some of which is very nice. I do not know who prices that. There are also various trailers full of stuff like wheels and I do not know who prices that.
Bob does sell some of his own stuff. He has some unusual and rare pieces and some of his prices are far too high for me, but I really do not collect dealer items and the like so even a dollar would be more than I would spend.
If you like really high prices, Dennis Carpenter's son was selling a lot of stuff one year during the Charlotte Auto Fair and some of the prices for things that were not even unusual were breathtaking.

Bob Jones? I like him. I hope he regains his health and enjoys many years with his new spouse.

In my humble opinion this whole thread should be removed. It's not productive.
