Evening,
I am restoring a 1930 barn find and while under the car I see that the small gap that runs the length of the radius rods is open at various points and the gap is ragged with rust. I am concerned about the amount of strength remaining....I have been unable to find replacements....any help or suggestions ? Thanks, Andy Thomas |

I would think that the gauge of the tube is strong enough to function properly. Bead blast the whole tube, especially well in the seam area, prime and paint well to stop further rusting. Stitch welding the seam gaps with MIG or TIG might help. Dunno.. Larry
