Ok guys
Project take off steering wheel 39 coupe I did as suggested here - took the two bolts under the dash. Then painstakingly removed the three bolts from the steering box. That gave me some (very little) wiggle in the steering column. Not enough to get horn out. Do I need also to remove the pitman or the center link??? Pitman arm and drag link, no reason to remove the center link (tie rod?). Is all the wiring off of the column? Floor panels out of the way, etc?

Well you are not going to be able to move the column much with the fairly small hole that the column fits through! If you don't want to pull the floor panels, try pulling the pitman arm and dropping the steering box clear of the frame. Remember you are going to have the exhaust and such in the way.
