Anybody know where I maybe can find a master cyl or repair kit for my
54 merc Monterey with power brakes? Nobody seems to list one for power brks. Have found an old booster/cyl but want to rebuild before installing. Sent my original setup out for rebuilding but ended up having to junk it. Wanting to keep it original. |

I know for the 55-57 TBirds, there was no special master for power brakes.

It is a treadle vac and the m cyl reservoir mounts crosswise to the cyl/booster. Weird looking devil. |

Several years ago my friends OT car had a treadle vac fail. I think even though its the m/c, you might start with the TV guys. My friend elected to change to a more modern vacuum booster and dual circuit master.
These guys are at least west coast. http://www.karpspowerbrake.com/booster.html |

red carr,, I live off the palmer/ Wasilla hwy, near the mattress ranch. I haven't found any source for your master cyl yet. when my back is a little better maybe we could get together and take a look at what you need. if you just need a master cyl. and you still have your original there options to have it sleeved with stainless like a lot of people do with the corvette stuff. have you tried Green Sales? they sell a lot of old obsolete hard to find parts. http://www.greensalescompany.com/

55-57 Chevies used the treadlevac which appears to be similar,if not the same, as your Merc. Maybe another avenue to try.
