Default Battery Operated Strobe Warning Light

I've always had some concern stopping on the side of the road, especially at night, because the old 47 has no emergency flashers. So, I'm shopping for a battery operated (can't use 12 volt plug in cause still 6 volt) portable magnetic yellow strobe warning light that I can stick on the top or side of the car when I'm on the side of the road to get a little more attention and avoid getting hit.

I've found this one from Larsen Electronics that looks pretty good and wonder what anyone else might be using.

Harbor Freight has a Red and white triangle LED light
You can us i as a Flashlight, or a red triangle, or a flashing red triangle .
Best part is that they are under $4, less with a coupon

I use the same as slowforty, have one mounted on the trunk center on the 39 Lincoln LZ, leave the red light on at night not in blinking mode for an extra rear light, see it for hundreds of yards.

I use a battery-powered bicycle light, similar to this one: smile.amazon.com/BikeGearz-High-Intensity-Red-Bike/dp/B00C815RFC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1445794354&sr=8-6&keywords=bicycle+tail+light

Thanks for the tip guys. Just picked up 4 from Harbor Freight for 4 bucks each. That's four for less than half what the one I was considering costs.

Here's how they look on solid. Each blinking randomly can not be missed from far far away.

They run on three AAA batteries, so, 4.5 volts.

Looks like those could be arranged for a Halloween theme. Great idea for added safety at night.

Indeed, one could get quite creative. At $3 each you could get a bunch and really have some fun. If I were going to drive with them on the back that's just what I'd do. But, I'll just save them for emergencies. When driving at night I put some magnetic reflectors on the back for better visibility. One can get creative with those too.

I also use the Trailer Bright, red and silver strips you see on the sides of SEMIs
Just stick them to some magnetic tape and put them on the bumper. ou can see them from quite a ways away.

Obviously, from my avatar i did not use enough of them soon enough.
you can see the trailer bright strip under the rear window
.
also dont put them on a painted surface as the magnet will pull off the paint.
