Default 1939 Ford Pickup

I'm needing quick help. The shipping company insists on knowing the height and width and length of a 1939 Ford Pickup. HELP!

I have Googled it and did not find it. I did find a chart showing many model numbers, such as 91c and it only showed wheelbase. The shipping company wants total width and total height. Thanks, I will keep looking.

Randy
Attached is the spec sheet from the 1940 Ford Salesman's Manual showing the dimensions of the 1/2 ton pickup. I think you'd be safe in using them for your 39 truck.

Thank you very much. I did find this on a 1938 Ford site, but it was to blurry I could not make out the figures. Best Regards, RMT

I believe I'd be very leery about using a "collector car" shipping company that doesn't have a clue as to the general size of a '39 Ford pick-up. You sure this ain't that idiot kid we see on "SHIPPING WARS"? DD

I agree and I have already marked them off. Any suggestions of a shipping company that I could use? Thanks

I've used both Reliable and Passport with good results. They operate enclosed vans and showed up on both ends when they said they would. They are more pricey than the independents, but IMO for peace of mind that's worth it.

Normally they deliver them from the back of the truck with the rubber side down, very innovative. Was this delivery followed by a CSI episode? The owner was probably inside the house loading for a delivery of his own.
