Default model s motometer

I have this motometer which mounts on the steering column. It is in nice condition but the sensor has been lost. (yes it can be repaired). I need to know what the original looked like and especially where and how it was connected to the engine/cooling system.

I don't know if it is the exact gauge, but some used a special headbolt that the sensing bulb fit into

There should be a "bulb" at the end of the tube that will go into either a special head bolt or a fitting on the upper radiator hose or the fitting on top of the block. Ron at Williamson's Instruments in Arkansas can repair/replace the bulb, if it is repairable.

This is how the motometer is installed on my roadster. Most of the vendors sell kits to install the meters in the upper house or water outlets already tapped for the fittings. No I don't live in New Zealand, just can't get iPad photos to load right.
