I have this motometer which mounts on the steering column. It is in nice condition but the sensor has been lost. (yes it can be repaired). I need to know what the original looked like and especially where and how it was connected to the engine/cooling system.

I don't know if it is the exact gauge, but some used a special headbolt that the sensing bulb fit into

There should be a "bulb" at the end of the tube that will go into either a special head bolt or a fitting on the upper radiator hose or the fitting on top of the block. Ron at Williamson's Instruments in Arkansas can repair/replace the bulb, if it is repairable.
