Nice to see the rear spring poking up through the rear deck.

That looks a lot like a 48 Jeepster.

The Article states it was built on a 31 Chassis. I have to presume that means Engine, Axles, Mechanical Brakes etc. I can see the A muffler. I wonder why they used a 28 or 29 Radiator shroud. The hood looks like a 28/29 that has been stretched to cover where the cowel used to be. I wonder where the fuel tank is, in the back like a 32? I cannot see a filler neck.
This looks very buildable. I would to see more photos.

Looks like it could be a neat project for someone like Lentville to start to manufacture.
Or, sell a do-it-yourself set of plans...just modified enough to use the stock cowl and fuel tank setup. ![]() Just a thought for a budding entrepreneur to consider! ![]()

All the work behind the cowl is relatively flat and angular. If you made a skeleton and attached sheet metal and then had an artist do faux wood grain.

What caught my eye in that picture were the tires on the blue huckster in the background. Look suspiciously like 16" tires on wheels with 19" centers.

Couldn't you just see a hunter in the drivers seat wearing plaid and a shotgun laying on the seat?

A couple of years ago I was at the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum in Auburn In. when a group of about 25 or so Jeepsters from the National club showed up.
This sportsman really DOES look a lot like a Jeepster. Ross, now that you mention it, yes, I COULD see that scenario...perhaps in a Life Magazine ad of about 1929 or so...with a couple of hunting dogs sitting in the back...

It's one of those things when it is so ugly it's cool.

I'm still wondering where the gas tank is, and what wheels is that thing wearing?
They look like solids, or artillery wheels with moon hubcaps...

AND, look closely at the picture where you can see the dashboard...that's NOT a Model A dash, that's for sure...
