Just got my copy of the new Mike Bishop and Vern Tardel book. Unbelievably fast shipping! However, I have a question on the captions for the photos on page 196. They show a two bolt timing cover and matching distributor and say the 'O'-ringed port is an oil feed to the vacuum brake. I always thought this was a vacuum passage. Am I all wet?

It's the vacuum passage. Vacuum tube goes into the top of the timing cover, through a drilling and then through the hole into the back of the ignition.
