Default Chicago Motor Club Building

Being an architect and a fan of the art deco style, I found this article about the recent preservation of the old Motor Club Building in Chicago interesting. I would really love to see some photos of the place, especially the mural map. I guess I need to make a trip to the city. You can find the story using this link:

If you like that style of building, you will certainly like a thread that is on Ryan's sister-site called Garage Journal. You may already know about it, but for those who don't, Click HERE to view the thread.

Currently I am working on routing & planning an upcoming tour in SW Virginia area and when doing it I recently encountered this old Pure Oil Station built in the 30's. Would this not be the perfect Model-A shop & house??

I'd hate to be the guy that put the shingles on that roof

I walk past this building frequently for work. I collect Chicago Motor Club related items and have always liked the building.

This link has some pictures.

Here is an older article about the glory days of the building.

I love the picture of the Model A being displayed in the balcony. That is way too cool!
