Default 39 ford headlights

One of my headlight bulbs is not working. Probably a bad bulb. I assume there are two bulbs in the housing. Is there a difference in high beam and low beam bulbs or does high high beam just turn on a second identical bulb? I could probably figure this out but I am not near the car. Where is a good place to get new bulbs? Thanks... Jon Laing

There are 2 bulbs, 1 for high and low beam and a small one for the parking light. Flea markets are full of NORS ones. Plus most V8 suppliers sell the imported ones.

I don't think there are two headlight bulbs in the '36-39 headlights. There is one double filament bulb for the headlights, and one small bulb for the park light.
The '36-39 bulbs are what called "a pre-focused" bulb. Replacement bulbs are available from several venders, buy them in pairs. Painless carries a bulb they call "bright bulbs" a little higher candle power..
