Default Sportlight Medallion

Now that I have the correct mounting bracket I'm continuing the restoration of the Sportlight on my '30 Town Sedan. Does anyone know if Ford used BLOCK letters back then on the logo or only the script logo? I'm trying to determine if the Medallion pictured below would be correct for 1930 or should I go with the 'Unity' one. I'm sure neither one would be "stock".

These are not the medallions for the "A" Model era Sportlights. These are from the 40s-50s road/fog lights.

Thanks for the info and pictures guys. Since it is 12v Halogen I figured it was installed later than the 30's, just didn't know when.

It was on the car when I bought it and figured since it was there I would "restore" it, i.e. new chrome and such. Hence the question on the medallion. Unity has the medallions for their 5" Spotlight. Think I just go with the "Unity" one, the "Ford" one looks to modern...

Another question. Do you know why it was called a "Sportllte" and not a Spotlight?

It was great sport to shine deer, or maybe to blind oncoming drivers.

Ha! Don't know how "sporty" a Town Sedan can look...

Here is the light, back together and almost ready to go back on.

Y-Blockhead,

Look up the earlier thread you started about Sportlites. In it I stated
how the Sportlite name came about.
