what i need is a pix of the front from outside, does the top material cover and overlap the gap where the top meets the windshield? also from side, does window go up into a pocket? if not what keeps air from coming in above the window?

More photos. There is a top fabric covered solid piece that goes over the header gap and tacks on before the top fabric is installed. There is no seal over the side windows, just an inside flap that snaps onto the irons. The window just rolls up into the space between that and the top itself. I think you should consider a LeBaron Bonney kit...there are a lot of pieces involved and many details.
