Default Fuel Pump

Hi Barners, I've been searching on E-Bay for a fuel pump with a hand primer for a spare. Anyone got one for sale or know where I can get one ?.
Another question, "What causes the fuel bowl on a 97 carby to empty over a couple of days ?" Have checked the pump valves and have installed a non-return hose on pump suction line.
