Todays project was sanding off a 1/16" or more of filler covering the outside of this door . It was everywhere covering reveals - the sides of the hinges were plastered with it . But the good news is that nothing wrong with the sheet metal I can't feel a defect anywhere . What's left is almost transparent . I think it was a skim coat that was on there a long time hard as a rock .
