Default 40 Lincoln Rear Brake Backing Plates

Using 40 Lincoln brakes on the rear of my project. They do not have the emergency brake cable tubing on the backing plate. Someone had removed them before I got them.
Will the backing plate emergency brake cable tube off a 40 Ford work on these backing plates? Or are they special to the Lincoln brakes since they are self energizing type?

If the 40 Ford tubes can be used, any suggestions on best way to remove them from the donor backing plates?

Appreciate any insight into this problem

Lou.........The Lincoln doesn't have a tube like the Ford. I've attached a pic of one I have with the little bolt-on Lincoln guide over-laying the hole. Don't know where you would easily find any. I know it would be possible to fabricate something that will work appropriately. DD

I bought the MT Products Lincoln Bendix brakes and the Lincoln E-Brake tube bolts on to the backing plate. (See photos). I think you can adapt the 40 Ford tubes to work without too much effort. I think you can buy those stock Lincoln E-Brake tubes separately. Give MT Products a call. http://www.mtcarproducts.com/Brakes.html I did use the stock 1940 Ford E-brake cable when I installed the Lincoln backing plates. I had to shorten the Lincoln tubes about an inch. It all works fine. Hope this helps.
