Default Back to Generator

After learning a lot about my currently-installed 6 volt alternator, I'm seriously interested in returning my '31 Tudor Deluxe to a generator system. Are good rebuilt generators from the late '31 era that difficult to find? I see where Snyder's and Bratton's offer re-builts - but they adamately state that they won't sell you one unless you provide a core? I'm not interested in "points" as my Tudor is simply a "driver" - but the alternator is the only non-authenic item on the car and I'm willing to put up with a generators' peculiarties if I can find one.
