Default 40 Ford clutch pedal bushings

I can't find a reproduction clutch pedal bushing for 1940 Ford that fits the pedal. Has any one else had this problem?

Ford chassis parts book shows both clutch and brake bushings are the same 01A7526, Reproduction bushings work fine for brake pedal, but my clutch pedal bushing is larger, 7/8 o.d. (.875). A friend confirmed he had the same problem. Original measures about .875 o.d. by about 1 5/8 long. Clutch pedal is original and doesn't appear to have been modified. All the reproductions are too small (about 13/16). I've called 8 places that carry either reproduction or NOS parts and all only have the smaller ones (repro).

I need bushing that is .875 o.d., less than 3/4 i.d. (so it can be reamed to 3/4. Length needs to be 3/4 to 1 3/4. Repros are too small.

Help!

Thanks.

Gary
