Default Trico wiper motors

My NZ 48 carries a RHD version of the 41 US dsh. It has the same arms under the dash as the US 48. The wiper motors for it that came with car in a box of bits is a 41 motor. If using the 41 arms which I don't have it works as it should and the wipers park at the bottom of the windshield ( i had there on my past 46). When I mount this 41 wiper on the 48 mechanism I can't get the wipers to park at the bottom, they park nearly verticle by the centre bar of the shield. I have tried mounting it upside down but the arms on the mechanism foul and don't move. Can anyone please send my a picture of what the wiper motors for a 47 48 look like. I believe there were 2 types. One had a cable to switch it on and the other relied on pure vacuum? I have the 41 switch on my dashboard down at the front of the dash that relies on pure vacuum so I would like to use that if I can.

Does anyone out there have knowledge of the setups for 47/48

thanks
GB

Here is the diagram for the 46 that is the same as the 47-48.

That one uses the vacuum switch.

This is the motor of my 47 that uses the cable to switch the vacuum.

Hope this helps.

Not sure, but the drive arm on a '41 motor clocks at almost a horizontal position. The '46-'48 motor clocks at a nearly vertical position. This would influence the wiper arm positions.

Thanks fellas.

Old Henry mine has the same arm pivot set up as in your photo but with 41 motor it won't work as I've stated in my post.

Gary what you say say about the clocking of the drive arm is probably the answer. My old 46 had the set up as in the exploded pic from OH it utilized the 41 motor but the pivot arms didn't have the clearance notches as in the exploded pic. This has given me a bit of food for thought.

thanks
