Well, guys, it's time to start on this winter's project. Want to change gear ratio in the '29 Tudor. Have never pulled the ring and pinion on a model A. I didn't think Les Andrew's book was very clear. What special tools (spring spreaders, gear pullers, etc.) do I need to round up before starting this job? I assume the car needs to be raised up high enough to drop to rearend and get a couple old men underneath. What horror stories can you guys tell us?

Tom Endy's instructions will give you all you need to change out the ring and pinion, and overhaul the rearend. Some experience would help. Bob |
