Default Installing window glass channel in '36 tudor?

Noticed driver's side door window rattling around, removed door panel and eventually discovered I left out rear felt channel on that side. Is it necessary to remove glass to install fleet channel. I've tried doing it with glass in and can't get clip at top and bottom to engage. Can I just remove glass and leave regulator in?

You will need remove the regulator screws from the door with the glass in the up position then lower the glass and reg, down in the door. wined the reg so it will come out of the slots on the channel. tilt the glass front to back as you take it up out of the door. Leave reg. in the bottom of door.

quickchange34, thanks. If the regulator is at the bottom of the door, how would I wind it to get arms out of slot in channel so I then could remove glass?

Put your handle back on the reg, and turn the
shaft or a wrench.
