Well, 23 out of 32 Ford USA Assembly Plants ain't bad...That is how many I have for their opening dates as far as when that first Model A Ford came off their assembly lines.
Still have 9 to go and they could be tough. They are St. Louis, Buffalo, Memphis, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Charolete, and Los Angles. Indianapolis is a strange one. They came out with their Ford Service Letters, as most of us know, the latter part of December 1927 and were written as if they started early production. However nothing was mentioned about them in Ford News during the time as with the others being open. If you don't have any thing better to do during the winter and you live close by to these cities and want to do some research...go for it. The offer still stands! Pluck |

Hey guys, Pluck needs some HANDS ON help here. This info apparently isn't going to be found without a visit to the local library or newspaper archives. The time line probably starts around 3/23/1928 and may not go much past 6/30/1928. This is some easy research if you are near one of these plant sites. Lets get this done. Philip

I encourage anyone who can spend a day looking this up to go do it. It was fun. ![]()
