Default AM-FM Radio install

Looking to install an AM-FM radio into my '30 roadster. Previous owner had a 6v Blaupunkt installed that no longer works.
Planning to use the inverter 6v to 12v sold by Snyders.

However, looking at the radios sold through Crutchfield, they all require an invertor with 8 amp capacity, the Snyders is 2.5 amps. Is there a different invertor I should use?For those who have installed radios in their 6v cars, what model receiver did you use.
Only looking for an AM-FM, don't need CD or rocket launch capability, any suggestions.
Thanks
Ken

Use iHeartRadio on your smartphone. It gets all the local channels. No need to wire up your Model A.

How about looking on ebay for the same model that no longer works?

How about fixing the one you have? There were plenty of 6V Blaupunkt radios used in old VW's. Check for repair service recommendations on one of the VW forums.

I'm partial to this 6V Radio made by Crosley - I figure if I'm going to have a radio in my 1930 car, it should at least look like it belongs there.

Don't you need some kind of suppression to stop the static?

My new pioneer radio works fine with the inverter sold by the model A vendors. I don't know if it said anything about a 8 amp inverter.

Several years ago we ran an article on one that was very high amperage. It was from: www.auto-physics.com. They were showing it at the SEMA show we run several things off of it, fuel pump etc. on our 6 volt roadster.
