Default Wind Noise Source?

I was driving my '36 5W coupe yesterday on the interstate hwy and the wind noise was practically deafening. It was difficult to talk to my passenger with normal voice and listening to a radio would be out of the question. True, I was moving at between 65 and 70 mph and there was about a 25 mph wind against me. Is this to be expected under those conditions or is there anything I could do about it? My door seals look ok (slight resistance with an adding machine tape pulled from closed door) and the windlace looks ok. Window glass moves a little as the drivers side window rattles when going over bumps. When the window is up or open partially, the wind noise is about the same.
