Default Model A Museum...Not big enough...

What will happen when the NEW Model A Museum recives more inventory than they have space for displays? Add on to the existing building?

Most established museums have more inventory than they can display so they warehouse the surplus off site and occasionally rotate those items into new displays. This encourages people to return from time to see the new exhibits. This helps generates a constant source of income.

These days, a lot of museums end up SELLING displays to raise money with the excuse that they have more than they can display, and off-site storage is expensive. Some excellent stuff has been sold by museums. And, some museum employees and managers get some big salaries. Hmmm...

I'd gladly take some of those surplus A's in. I have a large shop to store them in....Of course, I'd have to tell all my friends at the coffee shop that they all belong to me.....LOL

I spent a lot of time there a month ago. Very nice! Well done! If there's ever room enough I'd like to see an area for aftermarket A accessories.

The Museum is now approximately 11,000 Square Feet. The outside walls, front, and sides are of conventional bricks. The back wall is of Hardy Brick. This was done with the idea that we can double the size of the structure when the time comes that more space is needed. The agreement with the Gilmore Car Museum is that the expansion must be done within 10 years or the back wall has to be changed to the conventional brick. I assume as soon as the endowment fund is raised, the fundraising will begin for the expansion. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful hobby with generous people to make donations. Have you seen or heard about the latest addition to the Museum? We now have a Piedenpol Airplane that has been donated. It is now on display. Jay McCord

It's a thin brick veneer that's glued on to a substrate, aka fake brick.
