Unhappy engine and radiator correct tempature model a

what is a correct temperture for the model A engine and radiator ? i bought a temp laser gun from Harbor Freight and would like to know what temps should be running. Hope to find out if it is the radiator or the motor water jackets blocked.

thank you guys! for any advise on this. I need to find out why it is surging hot water out the overflow tube. I dont feel that i should put a nail in the tube or add a thermostat to solve this !

Mine runs well under 160 --- then I put in a 160 thermostat

After a 1 hour or more parade in 90 plus weather the radiator will be about 175

Use the temp gun to shoot all parts of the radiator. You're looking for at least a 20* temperature drop from the top of each tube to the bottom of the same tube. I'll reshoot my 28 this weekend, as I expect to get it out for the first time this year.

Global warming never came to Minnesota. LOL
