I have an 8BA oil pump that I want to install in my 59A motor. How can I tell if it has the pickup truck pickup tube assembly that I require?

Thanks Walt, but the pump already has the pickup on it and I wanted to be sure it was the correct one. So, I am really asking what is the difference between the 8BA pickup and the 8RT one.

If the 8BA engine is in a truck it has the truck pickup tube. The blocks are all the same. It's the oil pan that is different, the car engines have a center sump and the truck has a rear sump like a 59AB engine. SO, if your using a 59AB engine and oil pan you need a truck tube. It don't matter if it's an 8BA or a 8Rt ect. Walt
