Default Early transmission

I was going thru some of my parts today and found an early a model transmission case (the one with the large idler hole). Is it worth more than the later cases?

The judging standards state that this style was used through mid 28 so, while not exactly common, they aren't as rare as some early parts. As for whether it's worth more than a later case, I guess it might be to a guy looking to build a correct car who needs one.
