I have a question about an upholstery panel I think is used in a 28/29 CCPU or AA truck. I am attaching a picture I have that shows the panel I am referring to. It is the panel that is tacked to the wood on the bottom of the map box. There appears to only be two places the panel can be fastened - the top on the map box wood and on the B pillar. Does the rear side and bottom just flop around loose or is there something that is used to retain the rear and bottom sides? I don't see any wood or anything else to fasten it to.

No tacks along the back or bottom. The material for the panel is pretty stiff and does not flop around.

Dave,
Thanks for the response. I haven't bought an upholstery kit for my pickup yet and didn't know how the panel was installed. There are probably instructions with a kit that might explain how it is installed. I just was curious as to how it was installed. Rusty Nelson |
