I think the V8-60 would only be good in the 8N when the special, 8 speed gear box is used. There are plenty of parts available for the 8N and the only complaint I would have is the 1st(granny) gear should allow for slower speeds.

I used to own an 8-N, and have seen a few of these conversions over the years. I believe there was a "kit" marketed at one time to convert to them to V-8 power. Not personally my idea of the best use for a flathead but to each his own... they are interesting.

I've rescued many a flathead from the junkyard over the years, so at least it is saving one that might not be saved otherwise.

At one time in the 90's I was buying every one a guy down the road from me who ran a junkyard would get in for $25 each and he pulled them for me. We both thought we'd hit the jackpot.

Unfortunately I let my ex-wife talk me into moving "to town" and I had to let them all go. Wish I'd saved the Lincoln one...
